Mark E. Shaw, Founder

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Christian parents, Mark E. Shaw is the founder of Truth in Love Ministries. As a disciple-maker, speaker, teacher, author, leader, and ordained minister with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), he has been certified with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) since 2002 and certified with the Alabama Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (AADAA) since 1999. His Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling was obtained from Birmingham Theological Seminary where he also serves as adjunct professor. His passion is to glorify God through making disciple-makers by speaking the truth in love, seeing God fulfill Ephesians 4:11-16 in churches locally to globally. Dr. Shaw authored 14 publications including The Heart of Addiction, Addiction-Proof Parenting, Relapse: Biblical Prevention Strategies, Divine Intervention: Hope and Help for Families of Addicts, and Strength in Numbers: The Team Approach to Biblical Counseling. He and his wife, Mary, have four children and live in the Birmingham area.
