“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” (Ephesians 4:11-16, ESV)

I would like to get some advice from Dr. Shaw on how, as a believing wife, I can help my unbelieving husband see that he is addicted to pot. I bought Divine Intervention hoping it would help, some areas may, but it is mostly directed at believers! I come across this so often and it is very frustrating, so anything he may suggest could be helpful, thank you.

    • Thanks for your inquiry, Sandra. I forwarded your comment to Pastor Shaw and he had the following direction: We are called to bear one another’s burdens and we are called to speak the truth in love to one another, and that is what we do at Truth in Love Ministries. We have trained biblical counselors in the Birmingham area who work in teams of two and who are eager to assist you in walking through your struggles with an unbelieving husband who is addicted to pot. One of our female biblical counseling volunteers will be contacting you at the email address you provided on this post very soon. Our scheduling line is 205.910.0085. This is not a counseling line but it is the number to call for appointments. We are praying for you today.
